About The Last Giraffe

A conservation organization being built in public.

The Last Giraffe begins with attention, evidence, and accountability: build the strongest public giraffe resource, invite serious scientific scrutiny, establish transparent funding, and turn that foundation into durable habitat protection.

What exists today

The publication and evidence base.

The public website contains 35 long-form giraffe articles and a privacy-filtered catalogue of 1,787 research records mapped to 20 evidence areas. The organization is in its founding and infrastructure phase.

What does not exist yet

No implied field empire.

There is no live donation checkout, owned conservancy, ranger unit, hotel, adoption product, or claimed African field program yet. Those pages will appear only when the underlying legal, financial, and operating facts exist.

Operating direction

Earn trust before asking people to assume it.

Authority should come from clear sources, correction, disclosed uncertainty, honest status, and finances that donors can inspect. The public record will grow with the organization.

Read the transparency standard

Public money trail

Material income, restrictions, contracts, invoices, payments, and outcomes should connect in one inspectable record.

Sources before certainty

Science pages distinguish bibliographic coverage, machine classification, working interpretation, and human verification.

Corrections without theatre

Substantive errors should be corrected openly, with the current source and changed claim made clear.

Claims follow operations

No partner, acreage, ranger, beneficiary, or field-impact claim appears before it can be evidenced.

Contact

Scientists, land experts, operators, and founding supporters are welcome.
